Abstract:
A bridge (9) is disposed between and connected to left and right seat rails (3R, 3L) extending in the front-rear direction of a vehicle body. The bridge (9) is gate-shaped and comprises legs (9b, 9b) which are raised from the upper surfaces of the left and right seat rails (3R, 3L) and an extension section (9a) which is extended in the left-right direction and which connects the left and right legs (9b, 9b). Inwardly protruding, fuel tank mounting brackets (20, 20) are provided at the rear ends of the left and right seat rails (3R, 3L) so as to be located behind the bridge (9). A fuel tank (8) disposed between the left and right seat rails (3R, 3L) extends rearward, passing under the bridge (9), and the rear part of the fuel tank (8) is affixed to the fuel tank mounting brackets (20, 20). As a result of this configuration, a space under the bridge (9), which is disposed between and connected to the left and right seat rails (3R, 3L), is effectively utilized to ensure the capacity of the fuel tank (8).
