The present invention relates to a lifting/lowering-type pumped hydroelectric storage apparatus. More specifically, the apparatus comprises: a power generation structure having an open upper portion and a storage space formed therein; a rotation shaft rotatably installed in the upper portion of the power generation structure; an ascending/descending rotation part which is installed in the power generation structure and rotates the rotation shaft; and an ascending/descending power generation part which is installed in the power generation structure and generates power by being lifted/lowered by the rotation shaft rotated by the ascending/descending rotation part. By providing the ascending/descending rotation part, which rotates the rotation shaft of the power generation structure by being lifted as the inside of the power generation structure is filled with pumped water, and arranging the ascending/descending power generation part, which generates power while being lifted/lowered by receiving the rotation force of the rotation shaft, on a side portion of the ascending/descending rotation part, the power generation structure can be reduced in size. Therefore, the present invention has the effects of reducing construction time and cost and improving power generation efficiency.
