A tyropeptin A analogue which is a compound represented by the general formula (I): (wherein R₁ represents alkyl, aryl, etc. and R₂ and R₃ each represents hydrogen or alkyl) or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof. These tyropeptin A analogues are novel compounds having proteasome inhibitory activity.
