Abstract:
A pulse modulation system increases the available bandwidth in an ultra-wideband or impulse radio communications. The system employs a set of different pulse transmission or emission rates (115) to represent different groups (110) of binary digits. The modulation (105) and pulse transmission method enable the simultaneous coexistence of the ultra-wideband pulses with conventional carrier-wave signals.
