Abstract:
The present application provides an ultra-wideband (UWB) signal synchronization method and a communication apparatus, capable of being applied to the synchronization of a UWB signal and to a ranging scene with high positioning precision. In the method, a transmitting device transmits a narrowband signal and a UWB signal to a receiving device, the UWB signal comprising a synchronization signal and a ranging signal subsequent to the synchronization signal. The receiving device obtains coarse time-frequency synchronization information (or time-frequency synchronization information of the narrowband signal) by receiving and processing the narrowband signal, and receives the synchronization signal of the UWB signal according to the coarse time-frequency synchronization information. By processing the synchronization signal, the receiving device obtains more accurate time-frequency synchronization information (or time-frequency synchronization information of the UWB signal). According to the method, the time-frequency synchronization of the UWB signal is assisted by means of the time-frequency synchronization information of the narrowband signal, and on the premise of ensuring that the UWB ranging performance is not affected, the complexity of the receiving device to synchronize the UWB signal can be reduced, thereby reducing the implementation costs, power consumption, area, etc. of a UWB signal processing chip of the receiving device.
