Abstract:
[Problem] To make it possible, when removing burrs from a molding by irradiating ultrasonic waves in burr removal rinse water, to remove the burrs effectively by further increasing the cavitation impact force resulting from the ultrasonic waves. [Solution] In a burr removal device for removing burrs on a molding by irradiating ultrasonic waves: the depth of a storage tank (2) is 1.25 λ mm when λ mm is the wavelength of the ultrasonic wave frequency; the frequency range of an ultrasonic wave-irradiating means (6) disposed on the bottom surface of the storage tank (2) is 18-28 KHz and the watt density is at least 2 W/cm2; and an oscillating means (9) for vertically moving a molding immersed in the rinse water in the vertical direction with at least a ½ λ mm stroke is provided. The amount of dissolved oxygen in the rinse water is not more than 1 mg/liter and the temperature of the burr removal rinse water is 4-8°C.
