Abstract:
An ultrasonic device which is very safe and easy to use, comprising a hand-held treatment device having a vibration element which is brought into contact with the skin of the user to apply an ultrasonic wave to the skin, a power supply for supplying a DC voltage, an oscillation circuit which generates a vibration output voltage for driving the vibration element by the DC voltage from the power supply, a load detection circuit which detects the application of a load applied to the skin by, for instance, bringing the vibration element into contact with the skin and generates a load detection output when a load is applied to the vibration element, a movement detection circuit which detects the movement of the vibration element and generates a movement detection output when the vibration element is moved, and a control circuit connected to the load detection circuit and the movement detection circuit. When the load detection signal is not inputted within a specified 1st period or when the load detection signal is inputted within the specified 1st period but the movement detection signal is not inputted within a specified 2nd period successively for a specified time, the control circuit controls the oscillation circuit and reduces the vibration output.
