Abstract:
Provided are: an ultrasonic diagnostic device that makes it possible to identify a scanned region while viewing an ultrasonic probe; and a method for controlling the ultrasonic diagnostic device. In the present invention, a diagnostic device body has a scanned region mask generation unit that generates a scanned region mask indicating a scanned region on the basis of a visual field image acquired by a camera of an HMD, a determination result of whether or not an ultrasonic probe is scanning from a scanning determination unit, and a scanning position of the ultrasonic probe detected by a scanning position detection unit. The generated scanned region mask is transmitted to the HMD from the diagnostic device body, and is displayed on an HMD-side monitor.
