Abstract:
Disclosed are an ultrasonic probe enabling multiple selections through various focusings and an ultrasonic image diagnostic apparatus having same. The ultrasonic probe according to an embodiment of the present invention comprises: multiple linear arrays that are upwardly arranged to focus on an ultrasonic signal through an upwardly formed effective lens aperture; and a control unit that controls focusing of the activated linear arrays by setting the upward effective lens aperture to be large through simultaneously activating the multiple linear arrays or by setting the upward effective lens aperture to be small through individually activating the linear arrays.
