ULTRASONIC TESTER AND SYSTEM FOR ITS MANAGEMENT

An ultrasonic tester management system with which the load and cost on the ultrasonic tester side can be greatly reduced. Ultrasonic testers (A�1?-A�n?) each comprise a probe (1) and a tester main unit (100). The tester main units (100) are connected to a host computer (C) through a network bus (N�B?). The host computer (C) has a data storage unit (M). Data on test objects which are obtained by the ultrasonic testers (A�1?-A�n?) are analyzed and judged by the host computer (C) and stored in the data storage unit (M). The host computer (C) diagnoses the ultrasonic testers (A�1?-A�n?) and detects signs of the deterioration of the probes (1), etc. in accordance with a self-diagnosis program. Further, the data on the probes (1) are stored in the data storage unit (M) and the ultrasonic testers (A�1?-A�n?) can read the data through the host computer(C).
