Abstract:
This ultrasonic transducer comprises a case (110), a piezoelectric element (120), and a first filler (130). The case (110) has a bottomed tubular shape with a bottom portion (111) and a side wall portion (112). The piezoelectric element (120) is affixed to the bottom portion (111) inside the case (110). The first filler (130) fills at least the bottom portion (111) side of the interior of the case (110), and covers the piezoelectric element (120). The side wall portion (112) has an opening (113) in a position closer to the bottom portion (111). The first filler (130) is composed of a foamed silicone resin having a closed cell structure. The opening (113) is sealed by the first filler (130).
