Abstract:
An ultrasound device (100) is equipped with a piezoelectric element (120), a drive circuit (116), a receiving circuit (140), and a control circuit (114), and uses ultrasound to detect an object. The drive circuit (116) outputs a drive signal for driving the piezoelectric element (120). The receiving circuit (140) includes an arithmetic circuit (141) which receives input of a received signal outputted by the piezoelectric element (120), and calculates a cross-correlation coefficient between the received signal and a reference signal based on the drive signal. The control circuit (114) detects an object on the basis of the cross-correlation coefficient calculated by the arithmetic circuit (141). The frequency of the drive signal is constant. The reference signal is a signal which includes the frequency of the drive signal.
