Abstract:
This ultrasound system 1 comprises an ultrasound probe 2 and an image display device 3. The ultrasound probe 2 comprises a transducer array 11 containing a plurality of transducers, a transceiver unit 14 that transmits and receives ultrasound to and from an opening-use transducer group comprising a portion of the transducers to generate a sound beam signal, and an image information data generation unit 19 that generates image information data from the sound beam signal. The image display device 3 contains a display unit 34. One of the ultrasound probe 2 and the image display device 3 has a display image region determination unit 22 for determining, from the width of the entirety of the transducers, the width of the opening-use transducer group, and the scanning beam steering angle range, a display image region obtained by removing a shallow portion image region from an ultrasound image. The display unit 34 displays, in the display image region only, an ultrasound image based on the image information data.
