Abstract:
The present invention provides a material which is capable of forming a surface layer on the surfaces of articles such as interior building materials, household electrical appliances, precision machinery and electronic devices, the surface layer being capable of providing a comfortable touch and texture that gives a smooth and dry feeling when touched with fingers. The present invention provides an ultraviolet curable varnish composition which contains (A) a urethane (meth)acrylate, (B) an epoxy resin, (C) a filler that contains resin beads and/or inorganic beads, (D) a polyethylene wax and (E) a silicone, wherein a dried coated surface that has been coated with this ultraviolet curable varnish composition has a coefficient of kinetic friction of 0.6 or less as measured by being touched with a human hand.
