Abstract:
[Problem] To provide an ultraviolet-ray-curable organopolysiloxane composition which contains a silicon atom, can be cured into a product having a small light transmittance in a specified ultraviolet ray wavelength range, and has excellent workability when applied onto a substrate. [Solution] The ultraviolet-ray-curable composition according to the present invention comprises 90 to 99.99 parts by mass of a component (S) comprising at least one type of a component (S1) or (S2) and 0.01 to 10 parts by mass of an ultraviolet ray-absorbable compound (C) (in which the total amount of the components (S) and (C) is 100 parts by mass), in which the component (S1) is an organopolysiloxane and/or an organosilane each having an ultraviolet-ray-curable functional group, the component (S2) is a mixture comprising a compound (A) that has an ultraviolet-ray-curable functional group and also has a silicon atom or does not have a silicon atom and an organopolysiloxane (B) that does not have an ultraviolet-ray-curable functional group at a content ratio of 5:95 to 95:5 by mass. The ultraviolet-ray-curable composition is characterized in that, when the composition is applied onto an arbitrary substrate in such a manner the thickness of a cured product of the composition can become 10 μm and is then irradiated with light in such a manner the integrated light quantity at at least one wavelength selected from the wavelength range of 365 to 405 nm can become 2 to 8 J/cm2, the composition can be cured at the time point of the completion of the irradiation or within 5 minutes after the completion of the irradiation, and the cured product that has a thickness of 10 μm has a light transmittance of 98% or more at a wavelength of 450 nm and also has a light transmittance of 50% or less at at least one wavelength falling within a wavelength range of 360 to 405 nm.
