Abstract:
An umbrella holding device (B) comprises a body, an umbrella receiving section, a shutter, and a locking mechanism. The locking mechanism comprises a slide block (4). An abutting section (44) is formed on the main surface of the slide block which faces a card key inserting path. When a card key is in a predetermined inserted state, the slide block is slidable. When the card key is further inserted from that state, the locked state of the slide block is released. The umbrella holding device further comprises a rotating member (20) which has a projecting piece (22) so displaced as to advance into and retreat from the card key inserting path and which stops the movement of the slide block when the projecting piece is at an advance position from which the projecting piece advances into the inserting path and which allows the movement of the slide block when the projecting piece is at a retreat position from which the projecting piece retreats from the inserting path. When the card key is inserted until abutting on the abutting part, the projecting piece is positioned at the retreat position and the slide block is allowed to move backward.
