Abstract:
In the present invention, a RUP 10 is provided with: a rectangular-cylinder-shaped protector body 13 that extends in a vehicle width direction below a rear-end section of a vehicle body frame; and a reinforcement member 17 that is disposed in a protector internal space of the protector body 13. The protector body 13 comprises a protector inner piece 18 and a protector outer piece 19. An inner piece vertical panel section 20 of the protector inner piece 18 comprises a supported region 43 that is supported from the front by a protector-side securing section 11b of a bracket 11. The reinforcement member 17 is formed with a roughly L-shaped cross-section, comprising a reinforced horizontal panel section 17a and a reinforced vertical panel section 17b, and is secured to the protector body 13. A folded section 44 of the reinforcement horizontal panel section 17a and the reinforcement vertical panel section 17b extends linearly in the longitudinal direction from a position in contact with a rear surface of the supported region 43 of the inner piece vertical panel section 20 to a position near a front surface of an outer piece vertical panel section 23.
