Title:
UNDERWATER FLOATING-TYPE OCEAN CURRENT POWER GENERATION DEVICE
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2016/067971
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
Provided is an underwater floating-type ocean current power generation device whereby cyclical directional vibration of a floating body of the ocean current power generation device, caused by shadow moment, can be suppressed. An ocean current power generation device main body (2): having a rotor driven by rotary blades (5) that protrude externally, said rotor being for a generator (9) housed inside a nacelle (4); joined to the left and right of a structure; configured as a twin-hull floating body (1) capable of floating underwater; and moored to the ocean floor by a mooring rope. The ocean current power generation device main body (2) comprises a moment suppression means (20) that: uses a downwind method whereby the rotary blades (5) are arranged further on the downstream side in the ocean current direction than the nacelle (4); and suppresses moment that occurs in the floating body (1) as a result of reduction in thrust force accompanying reduced ocean current speed when a blade (5a) of the rotary blades (5) has entered a shadow area (shadow moment area) of the structure on the upstream side of in the ocean current direction.
