Abstract:
Provided are: an uneven structure body wherein microparticles do not become detached, and the uneven structure does not readily deteriorate; and a manufacturing method therefor. Recesses and protrusions are formed on the surface of the uneven structure body (10, 90, 95, 100, 105, 120). The uneven structure body (10, 90, 95, 100, 105, 120) is formed of a plurality of microparticles (14), and an amphiphilic polymer compound (15) which has a catechol group. The polymer compound (15) covers at least one part of the surface of the microparticles (14), and bonds the microparticles to one another. The diameters of the recessed parts of the recesses and protrusions are larger than the diameters of the microparticles (14). The uneven structure body (10, 90, 95, 100, 105, 120) is manufactured by: forming a cast film (44) from a liquid containing the microparticles (14) and the polymer compound (15) which has a catechol group; effecting dew condensation on the cast film (44); and evaporating water droplets (408), which have been produced by the dew condensation, and an organic solvent.
