Abstract:
Provided is an uninterruptible power supply device having a short period of time until a battery pack can be discharged to a load device after being fully charged. An uninterruptible power supply device 1 is used for a load device 3 to which power is supplied from an external power supply 2. The uninterruptible power supply device 1 is provided with: battery packs 21, 22; a charge/discharge circuit 30 for charging the battery packs and discharging the battery packs to the load device; an adjustment discharge circuit 40 having a resistance component R; and a control device 50. When charging the battery packs up to an upper limit voltage value at which the battery packs can be discharged, the control device causes the battery packs to make the transition to a discharge inhibition period during which discharge to the load device is inhibited. In the discharge inhibition period, the battery packs are stopped to be charged after being fully charged and electrically connected to a resistor R, thereby reducing the voltage of the battery packs to an upper limit voltage value or less. After that, the battery packs are allowed to discharge to the load device.
