Abstract:
An uninterruptible power supply system (1) is provided with: N UPS modules (U1 to UN) that are connected, in parallel, between an AC power source (51) and a load (52); a current detector (4) that detects a load current; and a control unit (32) that selects, on the basis of the detection results of the current detector (4), n UPS modules (U1 to Un) needed to supply the load current and that selects an auxiliary UPS module (U(n+1)). Each of the n UPS modules (U1 to UN) supplies the load (52) with a current allocated thereto, which is 1/n of the load current. The auxiliary UPS module (U(n+1)) stands by in a state in which there is no exchange of currents with the n UPS modules (U1 to UN), as well as the load (52), by outputting, to the load (52), counter voltages in accordance with output voltages of the n UPS modules (U1 to UN).
