Title:
UNIVERSAL ANGLE BRACE
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/1981/001434
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
The profile sheet (1) is made with a first stamped folding line (2), dividing the sheet (1) into two equally large sheet parts (4 and 5), and with a second stamped folding line (3) which at the same time connects the first sheet part (4) with a first tongue (6) and the second sheet part (5) with a second tongue (7), and which is at right angles to the first folding line (2). The edges (8 and 9) of the tongues (6 and 7), turning towards each other, run from within out into an angle of 45 , proportional to the second folding line (3), and a way from each other. By this working out of the profile sheet (1) angle braces can be made by hand, where the first and the second sheet parts (4 and 5) are bent into different fixed angles of for instance 90 and 45 , proportional to each other, and by bending the tongues (6 and 7) round the second folding line (3), at right angles to the first and second sheet parts (4 and 5), respectively, and to the same side, and by subsequent bending around the first folding line (2) until the oblique edges (8 and 9) of the tongues (6 and 7) either meet or fall in the same plane as the sheet parts (4 and 5), angles of 90 and 45 , respectively, are obtained between the two sheet parts (4 and 5). Thus, out of the same profile sheet you can yourself make different angle braces with fixed angles - easily and inexpensively.

The fold¬ ing lines divide the profile sheet in such a way that you can form different angle braces of steady measures, just by bending according to the folding lines without auxili¬ ary tools. 2» Plane profile sheet (cf. i) supplied with an appropriate number of attachment holes which make the profile sheet an . angle brace, as the holes are made oblong. The holes may also be stamped in such a way that some points remain on one side of the angle brace. The angle brace may also be made selfadhesive.

Description:
Title:

Universal Angle Brace,

Description of the subject matter

A plane profile sheet with stamped folding lines for self-making of angle braces to be fitted into internal angles and around post corners.

Out of the same profile sheet you can easily and inexpensively make different angle braces v/ith angles of steady measures. By simple bending by hand of across a"table edge angles of steady measures of 45° » 60°, 90° and 135°, respectively, can be found.

(See fig. I indicating a possible profile).

Concerning the advantages obtained by using the angle brace, please see the drawings of possible fields of use (about 40 pages).
