An unmanned aerial vehicle and a protective device suitable for the unmanned aerial vehicle. The protective device comprises a plurality of first protective assemblies (10) adapted to be connected to rotor assemblies (91) of the unmanned aerial vehicle, and a plurality of second protective assemblies (20) each of which is connected between every two adjacent first protective assemblies. A first end of each second protective assembly is rotatably connected to the first one of the two adjacent first protective assemblies, and a second end of the second protective assembly is detachably connected to the second one of the two adjacent first protective assemblies. The second protective assemblies comprise an unfolded state and a folded state. When the second protective assemblies are in the unfolded state, the rotor assembly of the unmanned aerial vehicle is protected, and moreover, when the second protective assemblies are in the folded state, arms of the unmanned aerial vehicle are folded and stored.
