Abstract:
Provided are an unmanned aircraft capable of estimating a self-position with high precision even inside a manhole, and a method for controlling the unmanned aircraft. The unmanned aircraft (100) according to the present invention is used for inspection inside a manhole (200), wherein the unmanned aircraft (100) comprises: a camera sensor (10) that photographs the manhole hole; a plurality of range finders (21, 22) that measure the distance from the ground or a prescribed surface underground; and a control unit (30) that estimates the self-position on the basis of recognition information for the manhole hole in which recognition was performed on the basis of image information acquired from the camera sensor, and distance information for the distance from the ground or the prescribed surface acquired from the range finders.
