Disclosed in the present invention are an upgrade method and system for an interactive electronic whiteboard. The upgrade method comprises: after receiving an upgrade request message, any online interactive electronic whiteboard downloading a corresponding upgrade installation package by means of a network, and transferring the upgrade installation package to a touch-control device, which matches the electronic whiteboard; and when the touch-control device is connected to another offline interactive electronic whiteboard, establishing a transmission channel between the touch-control device and the offline interactive electronic whiteboard, and transmitting the upgrade installation package in the touch-control device to the offline interactive electronic whiteboard by means of the transmission channel, such that the interactive electronic whiteboard executes an upgrade operation in an offline state. By means of the present invention, an electronic whiteboard in an offline state can also complete a system update, thereby improving the update efficiency.
