Abstract:
Disclosed are an uplink inter-frequency measurement method and apparatus. The method comprises: receiving uplink inter-frequency measurement indication information sent by a serving cell of a terminal and carrying operating frequency point information about an inter-frequency adjacent cell of the terminal; and according to the uplink inter-frequency measurement indication information, within a determined target sending interval, the terminal interrupting a connection with the serving cell, and modulating a frequency to an operating frequency of the inter-frequency adjacent cell, so as to send an uplink reference symbol to the inter-frequency adjacent cell. In this way, the measurement burden on a terminal side is reduced, and the power consumption of a terminal is reduced.
