Abstract:
A USB optical fiber switching apparatus and system, relating to the technical field of computer device scheduling, and used for solving the problems that when a USB slave device needs to be scheduled across a host and is large in scale, a conventional method for moving the USB slave device is more difficult and tedious, and the bandwidth of 5 Gbps in a USB 3.0 protocol cannot be reached during network data transmission. The USB optical fiber switching apparatus comprises a control unit, a network interface unit, a multi-channel passthrough matrix unit, an expansion unit, an optical module unit, and a storage unit; the optical module unit comprises an access optical module unit and a target optical module unit; the control unit reads an operation instruction from the storage unit, and initializes the network interface unit, the expansion unit, and the multi-channel passthrough matrix unit. The technical solution achieves the technical effects that the USB slave device can be flexibly scheduled in a multi-user collaboration system, and the transmission bandwidth of 5 Gbps in USB 3.0 is preserved while preserving the integrity of a USB protocol link.
