Abstract:

Disclosed is the use of an aromatic alcohol as a silk fibroin inducer. Also disclosed a method for treating silk fibroin, the method comprising the following steps: bringing the silk fibroin into contact with steam or liquid containing the aromatic alcohol to induce the structural conversion of the silk fibroin and obtain a water-insoluble silk fibroin, wherein the mechanical property of a silk fibroin material and the bonding strength between the silk fibroin material and a substrate material exceed 50％ or more of those of a traditional treatment method (in which methanol, ethanol and water vapor induction treatment are used).
