Abstract:
A decrease in overall system throughput is suppressed when determining transmission/reception timing for a D2D discovery signal on the basis of a predetermined downlink signal from a wireless base station. A user terminal (20) according to an embodiment of the present invention is capable of transmitting an inter-terminal discovery signal to a user terminal under coverage of a cell different from a currently located cell, and includes: a reception unit (203) that receives a signal that is transmitted from a wireless base station (10) forming the currently located cell and that includes resource allocation information for the inter-terminal discovery signal, and a predetermined downlink signal used for synchronizing the transmission/reception timing for the inter-terminal discovery signal; and a control unit (401) that controls the transmission/reception timing for the inter-terminal discovery signal on the basis of the reception timing of the resource allocation information and the predetermined downlink signal. The user terminal is characterized in that the control unit maps a resource for transmitting the inter-terminal discovery signal in a time-division multiplexed manner with respect to a plurality of cells with different cell radii.
