Title:
USES OF A DESULFATED HEPARIN-BILE ACID DERIVATIVE FOR THE PREVENTION AND TREATMENT OF INFLAMMATORY DISEASES
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2012/138003
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
The present invention relates to the uses of a desulfated heparin-bile acid derivative for the prevention and treatment of inflammatory diseases. More particularly, the present invention relates to a composition for preventing and treating inflammatory diseases, which includes a heparin-bile acid derivative the anticoagulation reactive site of which is partially desulfated in order to enhance absorbability into the body and reduce the side effects thereof, to the uses of the desulfated heparin-bile acid derivative for the prevention and treatment of inflammatory diseases, and to a method for preventing and treating inflammatory diseases using the desulfated heparin-bile acid derivative. The novel desulfated heparin-bile acid derivative improves the absorption of heparin drugs into the body through the combination thereof with bile acid in order to utilize the anti-inflammatory activity of heparin, and reduces side effects such as bleeding caused by the anticoagulation activity of heparin drugs due to the partial desulfation of the heparin.
