Abstract:
This utility-pole position identification system comprises: a cable (20) that is laid between utility poles (10) and that includes communication-use optical fibers; a reception unit (331) that receives, from at least one optical fiber included in the cable (20), an optical signal containing a unique pattern of the utility poles (10); and an identification unit (332) that, on the basis of the unique pattern, identifies the positions of the utility poles (10).
