Abstract:
The purpose of this disclosure is to provide a method for remotely specifying a utility pole position and/or for estimating the state of an aerial fiber optic cable. In a utility pole position specification method according to this disclosure, the position of a utility pole is specified as being a vibration distribution boundary region in a vibration distribution pattern obtained by sequentially stacking, for each time, amounts of strain in relation to optical fiber distance that have been measured using an optical fiber vibration distribution measurement method.
