According to this utility pole reinforcing method, a utility pole reinforcing mechanism is inserted, with a base thereof being extended in a vertical direction, into an internal cavity of a hollow utility pole having a circumferential wall formed into a tapered shape of which the size in a first radial direction intersecting the vertical direction becomes smaller toward the top in the vertical direction. The utility pole reinforcing mechanism is installed in the internal cavity in a state in which a plurality of division plates are extended from the base to the circumferential wall, so that the internal cavity is divided into a plurality of sections with respect to a direction around an axis along the vertical direction. A blocking plate connected to the opposite side to the base in one of the plurality of division plates blocks a through-hole through the circumferential wall from the inner peripheral side in the first radial direction. A utility pole reinforcing member with a tapered shape of which the size in a second radial direction intersecting the vertical direction becomes smaller toward the top in the vertical direction is installed in each of the plurality of sections. In each of the plurality of sections, the utility pole reinforcing member is contacted with the blocking plate or the circumferential wall from the inner peripheral side in the first radial direction.
