Provided in the present application are a UWB communication method, and a chip and a device. The method can be applied to a ranging device, and comprises: a ranging device performing UWB ranging communication with a device to be subjected to ranging; after the ranging communication is finished, the ranging device generating a transaction wake-up message according to a ranging communication result, and sending, within a transaction wake-up time, the transaction wake-up message to the device to be subjected to ranging, so as to keep same in an awake state; and according to a transaction communication parameter comprised in the transaction wake-up message, the ranging device performing, by means of a UWB, transaction communication with the device to be subjected to ranging. In the technical solution, after a ranging stage, the ranging device can directly transmit, by means of the UWB, transaction data to the device to be subjected to ranging, such that transaction communication based on UWB technology is realized, and there is no need to make a transaction by means of other wireless communication technology, thereby greatly improving the efficiency and success rate of a transaction; in addition, a user does not need to cause the device to be subjected to ranging to physically approach the ranging device, such that rapid unconscious payment or card swiping can be realized, thereby greatly improving user experience.
