Abstract:
A vacuum pump comprises a housing and a rotor supported by a bearing arrangement for rotation relative to the housing. The bearing arrangement comprises a rolling bearing (64) and a damping member (80) provided about the outer race (72) of the rolling bearing (64) . The damping member (80) comprises a radial vibration damping component (82) and, extending radially inwardly therefrom, an axial vibration damping component (84).
