Abstract:
Cement, gypsum, earth or clay based mixes are put in a sealed tank and using a vacuum pump, air is evacuated from the tank upwards and it drags the mix with it and mix is transformed into a light and porous bulk, and when it reaches the desired height, vacuum motor is stopped and valves are shut off. After a while, cured bulk is removed from the tank and cut in appropriate sizes, left to dry. Only for the earth based light and porous bulks to make it ready for use, they are fired in an ordinary brick furnace. Gas concrete and gas gypsum bricks reach usable hardness after some curing time without the need for a heat treatment.
