Abstract:
The present invention relates to a vagus nerve stimulation method and apparatus. A vagus nerve stimulation apparatus of the present invention comprises: a magnetic field generation unit for generating a pulse-type magnetic field that stimulates a predetermined area including a user's vagus nerve by a current applied to a coil; a power supply unit for applying a current to the coil; and a control unit for controlling the intensity of a current applied to the coil, and a pulse width and a peak interval of the magnetic field, wherein the magnetic field has a predetermined peak intensity by using a bio-magnetic signal of the user. According to the present invention, a body function can be improved by using a pulse magnetic field having an intensity close to a bio-magnetic signal.
