Abstract:
[Problem] To achieve stable fixation of a tire valve in a tire wheel. [Solution] A valve stem 10 comprises: a pipe-shaped stem body 20, which houses a valve core 11 inside thereof and to which an electric circuit unit 90 is to be fixed at the proximal end; and an elastomer coating member 40 coating the outside of the stem body. The valve stem is mounted to a valve mount hole 81H of a tire wheel 81. The valve stem 10 also comprises: an engaging groove 41 that is formed in the outer circumferential surface of the coating member 40 at the proximal end and engages with the opening edge of the valve mount hole 81H; and a weight-adjusting member 50 that is made of a material differing from the stem body 20 and having a specific gravity higher than the coating member 40 and that is embedded in the coating member 40 on a side closer to the tip end than the engaging groove 41.
