Abstract:
A holding plate 8 affixed to a sprocket 1 has a circular arc-shaped stopper protrusion 8b extending in a circumferential direction. Both circumferential ends of the stopper protrusion have sloped first and second outer surfaces 8d, 8e. A stopper groove 11g is provided between a first protrusion 45 and a second protrusion 46 of an adapter 11 affixed to a driven member 9. Both circumferential ends of the stopper groove have sloped first and second inner surfaces 11h, 11i making relative contact with the first and second outer surfaces. At least the first inner surface 11h is formed such that an outer end 11k is located further toward the ignition advance Ad side in a relative rotational direction than a first straight line N passing through the rotational center axis P of the adapter and an inner end 11j. As a result of these configurations, the concentration of stress caused by an impact load on the adapter can be reduced.
