Provided is a valve with which a seal material will not be damaged in association with a release of pressure that has accumulated near the seal material.　This valve comprises a valve box (10) provided with a valve chamber (14), a valve seat (13) that is provided in the valve chamber and that has a seat surface, a stem (20) having at the tip end thereof a valve body (21) that comes into contact with and moves away from the seat surface due to the operation of an actuator (40), a seal space (119) in which a seal member that prevents fluid leakage is arranged, a seal-opening space (118) outside of the seal space, and a seal-pressing member (30) that presses the seal member toward the valve chamber, wherein a leak hole (15) through which the seal space and the exterior of the valve box communicate is formed in the valve box, the seal member is provided with an outer seal member (132) that prevents fluid from leaking out through an inner peripheral wall (19) of the seal space and an inner seal member (131) that prevents fluid from leaking out through the outer peripheral surface of the stem, and the leak hole opens into the seal space nearer toward the seal-opening space than a seal effective area A where the outer seal member is in close contact with the inner peripheral wall forming the seal space.
