Abstract:
This variation pathway database generation device (1) comprises: a data collection unit (10) that collects data files storing gene variation data associated with a disorder or a compound from a plurality of databases having different specifications; a gene variation calculation unit (21) that, for each data file, compares the gene variation data associated with the disorder or the compound with a control group, and calculates the gene variation associated with the disorder; a varied gene extraction unit (22) that extracts a prescribed ratio of genes from among those having great gene variation as enhanced genes, and extracts a prescribed ratio of genes from among those having little gene variation as suppressed genes; a pathway analysis unit (23) that, for a plurality of pathways defined in advance, finds p-values for the presence of an enhanced gene or a suppressed gene; and a storage unit (30) that stores a variation pathway database wherein the p-value data for the presence of an enhanced gene or a suppressed gene in each of the plurality of pathways is associated with each data file.
