Abstract:
A vehicle abnormality detection device (1) is provided with a wheel load sensor (11) which is attached to right and left rails (R) that constitute a track in order to measure the wheel loads of wheels (3) of a vehicle (2), and a calculation unit (12) which is connected to the wheel load sensor (11). In the calculation unit (12), an index that is used to detect the abnormality of the vehicle, represented by the wheel loads of one or more pairs of right and left wheels (3) of at least a truck (4), and determined according to the type of the abnormality of the vehicle is previously stored. The calculation unit (12) calculates the value of the stored index from the wheel loads measured by the wheel load sensor (11) and transmitted from the wheel load sensor (11), and on the basis of the calculated value of the index, detects the abnormality of the vehicle that is traveling.
