Abstract:
[Problem] To provide a vehicle air conditioner capable of cooling devices installed in a vehicle devices while conditioning the air inside the vehicle, the air conditioner demonstrating improved heating performance as well as improved energy efficiency. This vehicle air conditioner carries out: an air cooling/battery cooling mode in which a refrigerant is caused to release heat at a radiator 4 and at an outdoor heat exchanger 7, and the refrigerant is caused to absorb heat at a heat absorber 9 and at a refrigerant/heat medium heat exchanger 64; and an air heating/battery cooling mode in which the refrigerant is caused to release heat at the radiator, and is caused to absorb heat at the outdoor heat exchanger and at a heat exchanger for devices installed in the vehicle. If the flow of the refrigerant into the heat absorber is interrupted while the air cooling/battery cooling mode operation is being carried out, the air cooling/battery cooling mode is transitioned to the air heating/battery cooling mode if the heat absorber temperature is lower than the target heat absorber temperature.
