Abstract:
[Problem] To provide: a vehicle air conditioning apparatus in which the evaporator temperature is controlled by using a fin thermal sensor, and that is provided with an independent temperature adjustment function for the left and right sections, wherein a structure capable of preventing an evaporator from freezing is provided; and a control method therefor. [Solution] A contact temperature sensor 50B is disposed at an evaporator 8 in a region facing a passenger-side space 30 on the downstream side of the evaporator 8. Alternatively, a contact temperature sensor 50A is disposed in contact with the evaporator 8 in a region facing a driver-side space 20 on the downstream side of the evaporator 8, and, when a normal blowing mode is selected, the operating state of a compressor 10 is controlled so that detected temperatures (T8a, T8a')detected by the temperature sensor 50 fall between a lower limit (Tsd)min and an upper limit (Tsd)max of a threshold temperature (Tsd), and, when a strong blowing mode is selected, a threshold temperature (Tsp) is set at a greater value than the threshold temperature (Tsd) used when the normal blowing mode is selected.
