Abstract:
This vehicle air conditioning device is provided with a first evaporator (26), a second evaporator (28), a compressor (18), and a control device (16). The first evaporator (26) is provided with a cold storage material (30), and by means of the refrigerant in a refrigeration cycle (14), cools the air blown out to the vehicle cabin interior space around a first seat. The second evaporator (28) has a lower cold storage ability than the first evaporator, and cools the air blown out to the vehicle cabin interior space around a second seat. The compressor (18) is driven by an engine (12), and compresses and circulates the refrigerant in the refrigeration cycle. The control device (16) sets a threshold (Tex) in accordance with whether or not a passenger is riding in the second seat, and starts the engine when the temperature (Te1) of the first evaporator has become at least the threshold while the engine is automatically halted.
