Abstract:
A transfer device for transferring a vehicle body (20) transferred by a shuttle conveyor (32) using a tilting belt conveyor (1) and a slat conveyor in that order. A mini-conveyor (26) is interposed between the tilting belt conveyor (1) and the slat conveyor (21) in such a manner that the mini-conveyor overlaps the exit side of the tilting belt conveyor (1) at its rear end and the entrance side of the slat conveyor (21) at its front end, whereby the vehicle body (20) is smoothly transferred from the belt conveyor to the slat conveyor. Furthermore, the tilting belt conveyor (1) is tilted by means of a lift mechanism (8) so that the vehicle body (20) is separated from the shuttle conveyor (32).
