Abstract:
A vehicle braking system (10) which is mounted in a vehicle (1) that has the function of travelling using rotary electrical machines (11, 12), the vehicle braking system (10) comprising: the two rotary electrical machines (11, 12), which are each provided with a braking device; a first inverter (4) and a second inverter (5) that control the driving of the rotary electrical machines (11, 12); a switch (6) that opens and closes the electrical connection between the first inverter (4) and rotary electrical machine (11); a switch (7) that opens and closes the electrical connection between the second inverter (5) and rotary electrical machine (12); and a controller (15) that is provided with an abnormality determination unit (15a) and a switch control unit (15b). The abnormality determination unit (15a) determines the presence or absence of abnormalities in the inverters (4, 5). The switch control unit (15b) opens the switch (6, 7) corresponding to the inverter (4, 5) in which the presence of abnormalities has been determined.
