Abstract:
The present invention provides an inexpensively configured vehicle cabin illumination device that exhibits minimal attenuation in light intensity. The present invention comprises a light source (610) and a translucent cover (300). The cover (300) is provided with an entering-light unit (310) irradiated with illumination light from the light source (610), and a reflection unit (320) formed on the surface opposite to the vehicle cabin side. The reflection unit (320) causes the illumination light that has entered into the cover (300) to be reflected toward the vehicle cabin side. The incoming light unit (310) has a translucent part (311) via which a portion of the illumination light from the light source (610) is allowed to pass to the vehicle cabin side, and an incident light unit (312) via which a portion of the illumination light from the light source (610) is allowed to enter toward the inside of the cover (300).
