Abstract:
This vehicle control device is provided with: a recognition unit which recognizes an object present in the vicinity of an own vehicle; and a driving control unit which controls one or both among steering or acceleration/deceleration of the own vehicle on the basis of a recognition result from the recognition unit, wherein the driving control unit determines whether the own vehicle and another vehicle present in the vicinity of the own vehicle are each a manned vehicle, and determines an operation mode of an avoidance control on the basis of a determination result.
