Abstract:
A vehicle is provided with: a transmission configured with a variator and an auxiliary speed change mechanism; a controller serving as a speed change control unit which causes the auxiliary speed change mechanism and the variator to change speed in such a way that a through speed change ratio, serving as a speed change of the transmission, reaches a target speed change ratio; and an engine constituting a torque increasing unit which increases an input torque to an automatic transmission as the speed of the transmission changes. The controller is configured with a torque setting unit which increases the magnitude of the inclination of the input torque to the automatic transmission as the amount of increase in the rotational speed of the engine increases with the change in speed of the transmission.
